The philosophy of the girl's basketball program is to introduce girls, starting in Pre-K and continuing through 8th grade, to basketball by focusing on both the individual skills and team aspects of the game, while providing a consistency and continuity of instruction and coaching. In learning and practicing core individual skills (dribbling, passing, shooting, guarding, conditioning, discipline) and team roles (positions, plays, guarding techniques, bench support), girls will be prepared for competitive basketball at St. Jude, for participation in other camps and clinics offered, and for participation in off-season leagues. Members of the St. Jude Girls Basketball program are encouraged to participate in additional camps, clinics and leagues.
